The GermGuardian air purifier is easy to set up and operate. The power controls are fairly intuitive with a large fan speed dial to select one of three fan speeds. Access to the filters requires the removal of the back cover and is easy to reach. The pre-filter is washable but the HEPA type filter requires replacement.
The stated air flow is 100+ CADR based on the highest fan speed. This is quite low even for a small sized room and is not sufficient to properly circulate the air properly in most sized rooms.
The pre-filter is thin and will capture the largest of dust sized particles. The HEPA type filter tests in the top 50% of air purifiers.
In scouring the web for customer reviews we found reviewers gave the GermGuardian air purifier a 4.3 star rating overall. Many positive comments were given for the ability to remove dust. The key negatives that are a strong plastic odor (some refered to as "toxic"), lack of air flow, "had to replace the filters after 45 days" and the air purifier wouldn't power on.
