Ease of Use Rating
The BlueAir air purifier is simple to set up and operate. We simply removed the air purifier from the box and plugged it in. The power controls are intuitive and access to the filter was easy as well. The filter requires replacement every 6 months.
The 450E air purifier delivers 240 cfm (cubic feet per minute) of filtered air and is rated to clean rooms up to 365 sq ft range( 18’ x 20’). We were expecting a little more air flow for the price. The noise level at the highest fan speed is similar in noise level to other leading HEPA air purifiers.
The BlueAir air purifier removed over 98% of the particles that were passing through the air filter on the low speed, however when tested on high speed the efficiency was approximately 90%. Overall this places the Blueair air purifier in the top tier of air purifier performance.
In scouring the web for customer reviews we found 64% of reviews gave the BlueAir air purifier a 5 star rating and a 4.0 star rating overall. Many positive comments were given for the quality of construction and good air flow for a smaller sized room. Several of the reviewers were pet owners and reported very positive experiences in the BlueAir air purifier being able to effectively remove the dust and pet dander.
The key negatives that were reported is the frequent filter replacements, noise level that is produced on the higher fan speeds, the blue light that can't be turned off and a few occurences where the unit stopped operating.
